I came home to this beautiful sight today: my moon flower blooming! Who would have thought that this $3 purchase from the farmer’s market would be my most successful attempt at plant growing. I did not build support for the vine, but with its strong will to survive, it quickly discovered my curtain strings and has climbed up to 4 feet on it. And today, it finally bloomed. When other flowers display their glory in bright daylight for all to see, the moon flower blooms at night, unexpectedly, quietly but with no less radiance, opening up into a large round flower that glows by moonlight.
