Faith in the past
Some mysteries of the past gain clarity with time; others continue to elude us even with greater understanding of life. When something triggers nostalgia, as too many things are associated for me, I find myself revisiting some of the questions I thought I have already dealt with long ago. Questions of why things happened they way they did and when they did, why certain people came into my life, why certain people left. These are also times of emotional weakness and forgetfulness. Just as I need faith in the future, I need renewed faith in the purpose of my past. To embrace that some things are not meant to be known, whether it is in the past, present, or future. It is all according to God’s plan that things happen the way they are intended.
